This is an encaustic, abstract of an empty nest. It is 5 1/4"wide x 7" tall and nicely framed in recycled fir with mitered edges.
I pack each painting very carefully in bubble wrap and a sturdy box. The wax is solid due to the resin added to the heating process. So you don't have to worry about it melting! Though, I wouldn't recommend keeping it in the back seat of your car on a hot day...
